Francesca Gabrielli

Francesca Gabrielli is a shareholder and CEO of Assist Digital, a customer experience service provider that combines human and artificial intelligence with UX design, technology and customer operations. Francesca is also an executive member of UX Alliance, a global network of user research and design.

Prior to her current role, she co-founded the first start up in Italy (2003), a consultancy company that focused on User Centered Design and which was subsequently acquired by Assist Digital.

Francesca, together with Assist Digital executive chairman Enrico Donati and a cohesive management team (all men!), developed the idea of combining digital capabilities with CRM services, leading to an integrated service offering of user research, UX design, AI, marketing automation, software engineering and data analytics.

Francesca initially lead the HCI design and digital expertise in Assist Digital and has over the years taken on increasing responsibilities across the business leading to her promotion to CEO in 2017. She is a person who is highly valued by colleagues and clients alike for her professional leadership and capacity to build collaborative trusting relationships.

Francesca discovered her passion for human interaction and design in 1996 at the University of Siena, participating in the first course on Communication Science in Italy. She has a PhD in human computer interaction and was visiting scholar at UCSD (Design Lab – San Diego). Francesca completed her education by attending an Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi.

She has 18 years of experience working with enterprises across multiple industries advising them in digital innovation, human centered design and customer experience management.

Today she leads 3000 people, including 350 professionals specialised in digital services, with the ambition to further scale the organisation and drive Assist Digital’s business model at European level.

Francesca is married and has two fantastic children. She loves the sea, especially that of Tuscany, where she was born.
