Francesca Vergara

Francesca is currently CIO @ Italgas, landing in the role after diverse international experiences as IT Director in the consumer good industry.

During her career she led a variety of multifunctional and multi-domain transformations, large global M&A, IT Platforms conversions (including Public Cloud migration), large IT Organization establishment and evolution.

She has a history of successfully partnering with Senior Management to drive cultural and processes transformation leveraging IT technologies, ranging from the introduction of digital CRM, to advanced analytics practices, workforce automation and end to end supply chain synchronization.

She strongly believes in driving Innovation and anticipating changes as a way to sustain business growth, develop new business models and ultimately remain relevant as IT organization.

In Italgas, she established the Digital Program presented in the 2018 Strategic Plan, including the recent launch of a Digital Factory – as a way to accelerate the digital transformation while driving cultural changes.

She studied and started her career in Italy - after graduating in mathematics – and then lived in US, Costa Rica and Switzerland – before returning to Italy in 2017. She’s fluent in Italian, English, French, Spanish and loves to interact with diverse background, cultures and styles.

Recognized Thought Leader in Digital Innovation, she’s also teaching Digital Transformation in Master Courses at Luiss University (Roma).

She’s an active leader in Diversity and People development, founder of the European corporate Diversity Networks, former member of Switzerland Career Women Network and currently Mentor for Valore D.

She’s partnered with a musician and mum of two girls (7, 9).
