Gigliola Falvo is currently Broadband Operations Senior Director at Sky Italia.
Gigliola has more than 20 years of experience as a top executive in leading global corporations.
She started her career in Arthur Andersen MBA in Telecommunications and Advaced Technology Area; from Arthur Andersen she moved to: i) Ericsson Telecomunicazioni SpA as Marketing Specialist for innovation and business development ii) Arthur D. Little SpA as Principal of TIME Practice (Telecoms, Information, Media and Electronics) iii) Poste Italiane SpA where she served as Head of Marketing of Digital Services, managing the development of web site, App, eCommerce, Cloud and Digital Communications. She also served as Board member of two Companies purposely built as a result of a public tender.
Poste Italiane Group represents the most significant period of her career (2011-2018). In 2014 Gigliola became Chief Strategic Officer for “Innovation and Multichannel” Activities, being in charge of all digitalization processes and digital transformation of products and services working in collaboration with all Business Units and Companies of Poste Italiane Group, with the main goal of maximizing commercial efficiency and information for multichannel touch points. With a strong innovative dimension she was also in charge of horizontal projects such as cryptocurrencies, cooperation with startups and tecnological incubators like Digital Magics/Talent Garden.
Her role in terms of innovation grows when Gigliola becomes “Head of Innovation and Digital Transformation” first and “Head of Digital of Poste Italiane Group” then. In this period she is in charge of digital services development, costs and investments and KPI monitoring to guarantee a customer experience in line with market best practices. During these years she has also been i) appointed member of the Executive Board of Postecom SpA, ii) included in a new management and professional career path called “Individual Executive Business Coaching” and iii) appointed President of “Patenti Via Poste”, an 100% subsidiary of Poste Italiane, whose business is printing and delivering drivers’ licenses on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
Gigliola Falvo holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Rome “La Sapienza” University.
From a personal point of view, Gigliola is happily married and she has two teenage daughters. She’s proved her ability to reconcile her work and family life, travelling between Rome and Milan every week and on frequent international business trips.
