Martina Cusano is co-founder and CEO of Mukako, an e-commerce specialized in building digital native brands for children and parents.
Martina holds a degree in finance from Bocconi University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
She started her career as M&A analyst in UBS Investment Bank London.
Since 2010 she works in the startup space. She was Strategy Development Manager in Privalia Barcelona and later Founding Member and General Manager in Groupalia Italia.
In 2015 she co-founded Mukako together with Elisa Tattoni. In 2017 she also launched MUtable and Bubuk, two leading digital native brands for children 0-8 years old. In the same year, Mukako was in the top 10 of Italian Startups for sales value, as certified by Osservatorio Startup del Politecnico di Milano. In 2018, MUtable launched on Kickstarter the second largest crowdfunding campaign ever in the kids segment. In the same year Mukako won several prizes such as the Top Service Award from the German Institute for Quality and Finance, the Innovation Award from Confcommercio and it is finalist of the EY Startup Prize.
Martina is passionate about entrepreneurship as it represents for her the way to express her creativity. She can leverage her analytical thinking to find problems and she can experiment to find the best solution. She is not afraid of change and taking risks. She loves to read, travel the world and volunteering. She speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.
